who is Jast?

i am a mainly digital artist, based on brasil. sometimes i do mixed media (collage, photobashing, playdough...)
since is fun and almost therapeutic to play around with so many ways in an attempt to express my artistic language abroad. just a hobby though, i do not intend to take this professionally, per say! however in many occasions i take illustration commissions or requests in my teeny beety meety time.you can consider me quite-the-quaint fellow! for my manners, my questionable relationship with shapes and the abstract, preferences and how i express myself and my pictorical world might prove this statement, i think. i am also part of the queer and autistic community, diagnosted.as the time i write this, i am graduating graphic design school and working as a "marketing assistant" – i am in charge of visual communication – in an educational institution, it is been fun!

here is the list of things me like in general, although i did not list every single thing, i selected only the ones i either feel strongly about, am nostalgic for, if the message resonates with me or has some trait(s) that i particularly am very, very into. this also apply to games, movies, comics etc. i have listed in the next sections.

i lean towards more instrumental music, not really into vocals all that much. there is some exceptions though, giggles! but it might be the reason that i am not too fond of musicals, unfortunately.by the way, check out RADIO IS A FOREIGN COUNTRY, very neat stuff.

as anyone else, i have some game genre preferences, platformers and point 'n' click games to be exact! sadly, i do not play games as much i would to, for lack of free time and well, patience. i often watch someone play the game rather than myself playing, as counterintuitive it may sound. anyhow, it does not invalid the way i am experiencing the game.

wowsers, my awesum' possum art... delving into my artworks you will prolly catch that i am more comfortable in drawing subjects in a cartoon-oriented way, but i have a tendency to play with other artistic languages. stick just one style does not feel right personally to me, you know? if such style hooked my interest I will definitely draw inspired by it. my motto is draw whatever that peaked my psique simply because i can.if my scribbles caught your very eyes, you can contact me by the contacts page and request a commission! would love to work with you. :o)
